Description

Unused, old stock EL84 / 6BQ5 Power Pentode. The Russian EL84 is extremely reliable and good sounding. This EL84 model has been used in the production of new amplifiers by such manufacturers as Mesa Boogie, Fender, Crate and Peavey. This EL84 is of an exceptionally sturdy construction and when driven can produce a pleasing warm, smooth distortion. Excellent replacements in vintage VOX AC-30’s.

Tested on the RoeTest professional computer testing system.

Matched sets are matched by plate current and transconductance using the new Maxi Matcher 2. They are not matched by date code. Date codes shown in photos are not necessarily the date codes that will ship.

    Thanks Craig for packing the tube’s well and delivered quickly.
    It took around 10hours to break in.
    I am using Sovtek EL84s on my Leben integrated amplifier for the output/power tube’s. It’s really fantastic, the sound stage is bigger & also to mention the distortion is not noticed.
