The Raytheon JRP 12AX7 is a legendary preamp tube. All the reviews are true. This is a “top-shelf” preamp tube that does everything superbly. Very powerful, thunderous bass, enormous sound stage and 3-D that you can reach out and touch. I was honestly shocked to be able to purchase a pair of these legendary tubes and at a fraction of the cost other NOS tube dealers are charging ($79 per tube at NessTone versus $250 per tube elsewhere). To top it off, they sound amazing with my NessTone KT-88s! Thanks again Craig!

Unfortunately one of the tubes developed a whistling noise. Thankfully Craig Ness, “Mr. NessTone” has another one and is sending me a replacement. I’ve bought a lot of tubes from NessTone and Craig runs an outstanding business, one of it not the best tube dealer ever! Thanks again!!!
