Very consistent and absolutely dead quiet tube nice gain level and overall a neutral tone. I really like these tubes as they don’t color your sound at all in really allow the amplifier to shine. Bought these NessTone12AX7 preamp tubes to complement the quad of NessTone EL34s (awesome power tubes!) in my amp. The clarity of the music is amazing and the 3D effect makes it sound like the the musicians are playing in my living room! Love it!

Used three of these 12AX7’s along with two of the NessTone EL34’s in a Marshall DSL20HR, and what a world of difference! The big difference is in the Classic Gain channel. With the stock tubes the Classic Gain channel was lifeless and what I would describe as raspy. With the NessTone tubes both the Classic Gain and Ultra Gain channels are three dimensional, full bodied with plenty of headroom. Also, far better separation and detail with very distinct and lush mids and almost acoustic quality to the sound. Thank you NessTone!
